Thursday night floor hockey Season Manager

We play at the Boy's and Girl's club off Pinecrest.

Games start at 9:30.

• No black tape on the blade of your stick (Boy's and Girl's Club rules).
• No slapshots, only wrist shots or snap shots (ie. pull the stick back to the height of your knees and then follow through to the at most the height of your knees).
• No body checking. We don't want to get hurt.
• You can't push the defending person away from his own net. The attacking person can be moved but be careful. No shoving on the back to make him fall over. No using your stick to move the person. The attacking player must clear himself from the front of the net when the defender tries to clear him.
• If a person lifts his blade above his waist the other team will get a penalty shot and the offender has to sub off. This applies even if you don't connect with the puck. We are trying to make sure no one looses an eye.
• No closing your hand over the puck. You can only bat it down with an open hand.
• The center line of the gym acts like the blue line in hockey. The puck has to cross that line before the attacking team. Also, unlike hockey, a goal scored from your own end of the rink will not count. You have to cross the center line before you can score (this is because we aren't good goalies and it gives the goalies a chance).
